The Town of Rockland was founded in 1645 and is located in Plymouth County about 20 miles southeast of Boston.

Rockland was named for its naturally rocky scenic area and today over 17000 people reside there year round.

Those who visit the town should get a look at the oldest home in Rockland, The 1745 House. The community is currently raising money to help restore as much history as possible in their town.
